At Kineticut Myofascial Release, I use a form of bodywork based primarily on the John Barnes Myofascial Release Approach (MFR) to find and treat the root causes of your pain by targeting areas where the soft tissues feel “stuck” and may be producing symptoms in far removed areas.

This gentle neuromuscular approach is especially helpful when therapeutic exercise has only produced temporary or incomplete results. While exercise is most certainly important and necessary to regain full motion, if the underlying myofascial pain is not addressed, the risk of further nerve irritation will remain. Whether you have a new injury, chronic pain, or want to boost your athletic performance, MFR can be helpful, even if medical professionals have said your pain is “all in your head”.
